Mr. Silver is one of America’s leading clean economy investors and advisors. He is currently chair of the Global Climate Council at Apollo Global Management (NYSE: APO), an asset manager with more than $750 billion under management. Prior to joining Apollo, Mr. Silver was a senior advisor at Guggenheim Partners, a $300 billion global investment and advisory financial services firm. Mr. Silver is a member of the board of National Grid (NYSE: NGG), the British utility and a FTSE 15 company, and a former board member at Plug Power (NASDAQ: PLUG), one of the country’s fastest-growing hydrogen companies. Named one of the country’s “top ten green-tech influencers” (Reuters), Mr. Silver led both the U.S. government’s $40 billion clean energy investment fund and its $20 billion advanced automotive technology fund during the Obama Administration. Mr. Silver has served as a senior official in three U.S. Cabinets: Energy, Commerce and Interior and as an advisor to the Secretary of the Treasury.
