Graham Bain

Principal Analyst at Enverus Intelligence™Research

Graham joined Enverus in 2020 through the acquisition of RS Energy Group. Leading the Subsurface Innovation Team under Energy Transition Research, he strives to create intelligent connections between the subsurface, emerging energy and carbon innovation technologies, leveraging a deep understanding of geosciences and the energy transition gained over his 9-year career. At Enverus, Graham has served as senior geology associate on the Permian Asset team and as product manager for Geoscience Analytics, where he led a team of geologists. His prior roles include analyst for the Alberta Energy Regulator, focusing on the Athabasca oil sands, and Geologist in Training for a small Calgary-based exploration company, exploring oil potential in Nisku Formation carbonate reefs.

Dr. Susan D. Hovorka

Principal Investigator, Gulf Coast Carbon Center, Bureau of Economic Geology, Jackson School of Geoscience, The University of Texas at Austin

Susan Hovorka has led a team working geologic storage of CO2 since 1998, with a focus on field studies and monitoring at the Frio Test site and Cranfield Field and EOR studies at SACROC oil field, Cranfield, Hastings and West Ranch industrial CO2 utilization projects and GoMCARB offshore charaterization study. She specializes in monitoring to document retention. The Gulf Coast Carbon Center is leading efforts to develop offshore storage capacity in the U.S. and globaly. She has a long-term commitment to public and educational outreach. She has a BA from Earlham College and a PhD in Geology from The University of Texas at Austin.
