Adam brings more than 15 years of power market experience to Enverus. His expertise aids all stakeholders in the power space through the energy transition. Prior to joining Enverus, Adam led a research team covering the seven deregulated US power markets. Adam has also worked for Independent Power Producers as an analyst, getting hands on with operations, hedging, and planning activities, to name a few. He holds a degree in Economics & Finance from Bentley University.
Akash Sharma, Director of Product Innovation at Enverus’ Ventures Division, is a trailblazer in technology, data, and energy innovation. Leading Generative AI strategy across Enverus’ portfolio, he’s revolutionizing the energy sector with cutting-edge decision intelligence solutions. With over a decade of experience spanning the entire energy industry and advanced degrees from top universities, Akash is an internationally recognized thought leader in digital transformation. His research, cited over 130 times, and regular contributions to industry publications showcase his expertise. Akash’s unique blend of energy industry knowledge and data analytics skills positions him at the forefront of AI-driven solutions, optimizing costs and accelerating the energy transition.
Al Salazar is a seasoned member of the Enverus Intelligence team, bringing over 23 years of experience in the energy industry with a focus on fundamental analysis of oil, natural gas, and power. Throughout his career, Al has held key positions at EnCana/Cenovus and Suncor, where he honed his skills in forecasting, hedging, and corporate strategy. Al’s 15-year tenure at EnCana/Cenovus was particularly impactful, where he contributed significantly to the company’s success.Al earned his bachelor’s degree in Applied Energy Economics from the University of Calgary in 2000, followed by an MBA with honors from Syracuse University in 2007. Al’s academic background, coupled with his extensive professional experience, has equipped him with a deep understanding of the energy industry’s complexities and the necessary skills to navigate them effectively.
Enverus welcomed Alex to the firm in 2013 and he brought five years of sell-side institutional equity research experience working at various Canadian chartered banks covering an array of oil and gas sub-sectors. Alex heads up Enverus’ Lower 48 Natural Gas Intelligence group with a focus on Marcellus, Utica and Haynesville shale plays. In addition, he also been responsible for numerous private mandates for our institutional and corporate client base.
Andrew joined Enverus in 2014 and is a principal analyst with Enverus Intelligence Research focused on M&A. He specializes in deal analysis, research and valuations for upstream assets and tracks industry M&A trends and outlooks. He has a BBA in Finance from Texas A&M University and a JD from The University of Texas School of Law.
Andrew joined Enverus, in early 2015 as the desk strategist. With more than 20 years of industry experience, Andrew brings a unique perspective to the team through his daily note, Morning Energy, and constant interaction with clients. Andrew started his career in energy working for Louis Dreyfus in a business development role for its midstream asset portfolio. He later joined a family office where he advised on both public and private investing in the energy space. Andrew received his MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a B.A. in History from Colgate University.
Andrew is a recognized industry expert, frequently sharing his insights at global energy conferences and private industry events. He has been featured in the WSJ and FT and industry publications like Oil and Gas Investor. And of course, he authors the widely read Morning Energy newsletter, which delivers timely news and data-driven insights from the Enverus intelligence team.
Andy leads the Commercial Intelligence team and deepens Enverus’ group of technical and financial specialists by contributing to company valuations and play modeling. Prior to joining Enverus in 2019, Andy worked as an analyst for energy-analytics and E&P businesses for a decade. He holds a B.A. in Corporate Communication with a minor in Economics from the University of Houston and is based in Houston, Texas.
Bernadette joined Enverus in 2016 through the acquisition of products and services from Ponderosa Advisors, where she was a founding partner. Throughout her career in energy, Bernadette has earned the reputation of industry expert with extensive experience providing crude, natural gas, and NGL fundamentals analysis and advisory services to various players in the North American and global energy markets. After starting as VP of Strategic Analytics at Enverus, Bernadette served as SVP and Head of Power & Renewables. In 2022, Bernadette was promoted to GM of Power & Renewables, where she continues to lead our Power & Renewables division. Bernadette holds an M.S. in International Political Economy of Resources and a B.S. in Economics, from the Colorado School of Mines.
Brandon Guttery joined Enverus in March 2017 and is currently Senior Manager of Technical Sales over the Energy Analytics Division. Prior to Enverus, Brandon served as Staff Geologist at multiple private E&Ps focused on exploration in the Mid-Con and Rocky Mountain regions. Eventually, he moved to Houston to pursue a Geologist position evaluating Negotiated Transactions at the Oil & Gas Asset Clearinghouse. Brandon received his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Geology from the University of Oklahoma in 2010 and 2012 respectively. He currently resides in Katy, TX with his wife, three sons, and daughter where he enjoys cooking and entertaining for his family and friends in his spare time.
