With half of their workforce stationed outside of the U.S., Hodson Energy grappled with collaboration across various time zones, necessitating early morning and late evening calls to facilitate coordination. Moreover, internal silos within the company posed additional challenges, hindering collaboration and information sharing, ultimately impeding fast execution.

In the day-to-day, the team faced the routine task of assessing and qualifying nearly seven million acres of land to identify project opportunities, a resource-intensive endeavor for the team. Reliance on external consultants for initial project analysis is sometimes required, which adds to project costs and significantly hampers the speed in evaluating projects.

Furthermore, to achieve the most efficient design, the Hodson Energy team spends a significant amount of resources designing multiple design iterations.
