Derek Brower is the U.S. political news editor overseeing the FT's Washington DC bureau and the 2024 presidential election coverage. Based in New York, his role also includes reporting on foreign and military affairs, economic and monetary policy, and business regulation. Derek was previously the U.S. energy editor and editor of the Energy Source newsletter. He has covered energy and global politics for 20 years, working across the Middle East and North Africa, North America and Russia. Derek previously worked for RS Energy Group, now Enverus, where he was a director specializing in OPEC policy. Prior to that he also worked for the Economist, Petroleum Economist and other publications, and was a partner in Petroleum Policy Intelligence, an advisory firm.

Andrew joined Enverus, in early 2015 as the desk strategist. With more than 20 years of industry experience, Andrew brings a unique perspective to the team through his daily note, Morning Energy, and constant interaction with clients. Andrew started his career in energy working for Louis Dreyfus in a business development role for its midstream asset portfolio. He later joined a family office where he advised on both public and private investing in the energy space. Andrew received his MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a B.A. in History from Colgate University.
