Powering the Future: AI’s Evolving Impact on the Energy Landscape

For more than 25 years, Dr. Wallace has been a driving force in practical applications of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML). He has contributed to and led transformative initiatives across several areas of the energy landscape, from oil and gas exploration, development and production, to energy transition applications in solar, wind, energy storage and geothermal energy. He is a recognized thought leader, driving forward with using AI and ML to effect meaningful change. Since 2017, he has served as the founder and principal consultant at Viage LLC, where his team collaborates with clients worldwide to increase value creation using data science approaches. He serves as the lead architect for Viage’s data platform, overseeing the development and hosting of custom cloud-based data analytics services across data centers in the U.S., Europe, Asia and Oceania. And since 2019, Dr. Wallace has served at Northeastern University as an Affiliate Professor and Distinguished Scholar in Energy Systems, where he teaches two graduate engineering courses, “Applications of A.I. in Energy Systems” and “Geologic Energy Systems: Geothermal Heating & Power, Subsurface Energy Storage and Carbon Sequestration.”
